Inventing | Solving Mentoring

About Me

Daryl Sartain
The planning "process" can often be more valuable than the plan itself.
Accomplished engineering executive - I have a passion for inventing, solving, and mentoring.

I am an articulate Engineering Officer with over 25 years of leadership experience with engineering collaboration, development, and product strategy (HW / SW / Systems), driving revenue growth exceeding $500M in global environment, and expanding partnerships by over 300%. Questions & Answers

What are your long-term goals?
My fundamental goals have always been the same ... I want to do things that have not been done before. Inventing, solving problems, mentoring others - these are my core strengths. My long-term goals are to continue finding opportunities to innovate, to bring a company into a leadership position in their field and to teach others.
What are you working on right now?
I am working full time to find my next adventure in a great company.
Describe your greatest accomplishment.
Writing my book "3D Audio Programming", Infinity Publishing 2000. I could not imagine taking on this task when I was asked by Microsoft to write this.  I spent slightly more than 1 year on this project ... most of my writing time was between 1am and 3am each night.  With this approach, I did not impact family or work schedules.
Why did you choose your profession?
As a High School student, I realized I had an aptitude for 'engineering' type classes. But more than that, I always wanted to do MORE than was offered in these classes. This field captures my attention in a unique and special way.
